Dental Implants
The Diagnosis
Implants are diagnosed to replace missing teeth or to support a prosthesis such as a denture or partial.
The Treatment
An implant is a titanium cylinder that is surgically placed into the bone of the jaws. While this sounds uncomfortable, most patients experience very little discomfort. After the implant is placed, the bone is allowed to heal and stabilize the implant for several months. After healing takes place, a crown or attachments for a denture are placed.
Dental implants have become the standard of care for replacing missing teeth and supporting dentures. To learn more, select Implant Crowns or Implant Supported Dentures.
At Kearbey Dental Group, we place the implants at our office. This allows us continuity of care so that the best result can be obtained.
This procedure is typically performed under conscious sedation which makes the process as comfortable as possible.
